‘Fear and loss’ multiplies in Sudan exodus

(UN News)* — Above 8.5 million Sudanese have been compelled to flee their residences in Sudan because the war involving rival militaries erupted final April, the UN refugee agency, UNHCR, stated on Tuesday [9 April 2024].
At the very least 1.8 million amongst them fled throughout the border into neighbouring, South Sudan, Chad, Central African Republic, Egypt and Ethiopia as well as Uganda.
